Over the last few weeks our pest control officer has been receiving numerous complaints regarding stray cats, skunks, magpies and crows. As a result of our attendance, in most of these complaints, it has been found that garbage has been left on the ground and not in a proper receptacle or bin and therefore the animals have successfully ripped open the garbage which causes the pests to return to these places for more food. It is respectfully requested that if you do not have a proper garbage bin, to hold off putting it out until the day it is picked up. Cats, skunks, magpies and crows are hungry and to leave a bag full of garbage (or food in their cases) will only result in problems. Please do not leave your garbage unless it is inside a proper bin or receptacle.

NEW DIRECTIONAL SIGNS
The Town of Provost in conjunction with Economic development has placed new directional signs around town to help visitors to our community with where to go. Over the past couple of years many visitors have stopped by our Visitors Information centre and as well in many businesses asking for directions to most of the places that are posted on the signs. There are plans to place a few more but for now with the weather changes maybe next year. Comments from the residents in our community have been positive all around. With plans to complete our Downtown next year we hope that many more people will stop by to shop in the Downtown areas. We hope that many more locals can also stop by to take in the sites and maybe shop while you are there. Once again we thank everyone for your patience. We are confident that the final product will be worth it.
