Plan to take in a full day of activities in the Town of Provost on July 1, 2017. The annual Chamber of Commerce parade will be taking place on July 1st this year to commemorate the 150th birthday of Canada. The parade will end at Crescent Point Place where the official ceremonies will take place. This will include speeches from some of our local political celebrities and we hope to see a CF-18 Fly-by around noon. Free hot dogs and cake is offered after the ceremonies. We are hoping to unveil a wooden Canadian Flag that we presented and signed from the 2015 & 2016 Canada Day celebrations. That will take place at the Visitor Information Centre (Teepee). There will be a Farmers Market at the Agriplex, and new addition this year is the opportunity to dance to the “Dirt Rich Band” at Crescent Point Place. And don’t forget the fireworks at 11:00. Watch for the posters and programs that will be mailed and placed around town. Hope to see you there.
Tickets are now available for the Dirt Rich Band – $20 each or 3 for $50. They are $25 at the door. No Minors allowed. Get you tickets at the Town office or from Carrie Olson at FCSS or Gary Duffett our EDO.
