The Town of Provost is proud to say that we have completed our work on the Downtown with new sidewalks, cross walks, and paved roads. (and Yes those talked about flower pots, but there will be flowers in them). Over 60 years ago we paved Main Street and held a party and now we are going to party again. We will be closing down the main street from 50 Ave to 52 Ave. (PMI/Servus to the United Church). Starting at 9:00 am the Town will host a pancake breakfast in the parking lot behind the Town office. We are hoping the local businesses will bring their business out onto the street in the form of an outdoor market. The Farmers Market will also be available (10-2). A Main Stage will be set up between Home Hardware & Provost Insurance for local entertainment starting at 1:00 pm. Rheydan Wick, The Waltz Family, the New Hope Gospel Church band, Jim Spencer, Delaney Worobo & Carter Trenerry. At 5 pm there will be a beergarden and food prepared by the Provost Girl Guides. From 7:30 and until 1:00 am we will be entertained by local bands such as “Whiplash” and our Public Works superintendant, Keith Heintz, “Chester Kreetch” with local talent such as Daryl Boyko and to end out the day a performance by our very own former resident, and former Town Councillor, you might know him as “Rooster”, who will be performing here with his band called “Big Shag”. Come on out and take in the fun. Hope to see you there.

LUCKY HIGHWAY 13 TOURISM INITIATIVE
The Town of Provost has partnered with 11 communities on Highway 13 to take part in an "all rubber traffic" tourism idea to help promote our communities and to give ideas to those who like to take a drive on a beautiful weekend. Starting with the photo scavenger hunt that begins on May long weekend and ends on the end of September, you can travel to the communities named within and take a photo of the icons that have been identified by each community and enter your photo to win some great prizes. Last year over 250 photos were entered. Last year our focus was on motorcycle enthusiasts but because of the great response we decided to include all rubber traffic. And here are the Town of Provost's two icons that you need to get a photo of to qualify for the contest. Provost Home Hardware is celebrating their 110 th Anniversary, same family and same building for 110 years. Congratulations Larson Family. The Bell in the front of the Town of Provost office is dated 1914 (104 years old)
