On behalf of the Town of Provost and council, I am proud to share a message that reflects the strength, opportunity, and remarkable community spirit that define our town. We are fortunate to be located within, and to enjoy an excellent working relationship with, the MD of Provost. This partnership continues to support the high-quality facilities and services that make Provost an outstanding place to live, work, visit, and invest. Our community boasts a comprehensive and evolving medical system, including what will soon be seven doctors, a full-service hospital, extended care, and a senior’s lodge. This level of care is something not often found in rural Alberta, and it is a point of pride for our community. Provost also offers exceptional recreational amenities for all ages. These include an ice arena with an indoor walking track, a swimming pool, splash park, 12-hole golf course, outdoor walking trail system, ball diamonds, soccer fields, and bunnock courts. Our dedicated volunteer Fire & Rescue Department operates with advanced equipment and maintains its own training facility, serving the region with professionalism and commitment. We are also proud to be served by two K–12 schools, supporting strong educational opportunities for local families. Our newly renovated daycare, with a dedicated and enthusiastic staff, provides high-quality care and early learning for young families and reflects our commitment to supporting residents at every stage of life. Provost lies in the heart of Alberta’s oil and gas, agricultural, and ranching sectors, contributing to a diverse and resilient local economy. Provost is home to an incredibly active Livestock Exchange, which handles over 90,000 head of cattle each year, playing a significant role in Western Canada’s livestock industry. We are also home to a wide array of oilfield service and maintenance companies that serve east-central Alberta, west-central Saskatchewan, and well beyond, reinforcing Provost’s role as a regional economic hub. In addition, a local company is investing in the future of the community by installing high-speed fibre optic internet throughout town, expanding opportunities for business, education, and modern living. We are also home to two of the province’s finest abattoirs and retail meat operations, well recognized for their quality throughout Alberta. Our town’s success is rooted in partnership, industry, dedicated volunteers, and the spirit of the people who call Provost home.
